Athenet acquired by Northern Telephone and Data!
Northern Telephone and Data (NTD) is pleased to announce that as of Friday September 29, 2006, it has purchased certain assets of Athena Services Inc (ASI). This Asset Purchase includes ASI's customer base, thus giving NTD the privilege of serving a combined base of over 15,000 Wisconsin customers. We are also pleased to announce that the majority of ASI's staff has accepted positions with the NTD family, making it possible for customers to deal with someone they may already be familiar with. This event is a great opportunity for customers to continue taking advantage of the Internet expertise that has always been offered by ASI, while being able to subscribe to the high speed DSL, paging, local and long distance telephone service and loss prevention security services provided by NTD. Customers now can consolidate all these services and have just one point of contact. We would again like to thank our customers for their past patronage as we look forward to partnering with them throughout the future.

- Will I be able to keep my email address as a result of the NTD acquisition?
Yes, you will be able to keep your email address and continue to use email as you always have been. - Will I be able to get the same service at the price I am paying now?
Yes, our prices and service line-up will remain (mostly) the same throughout this process. The combined forces of Athenet and NTD will allow us to provide future products and services to better enhance our overall service offering. - Will my dial-in phone number change as a result of this transaction?
Maybe. Athenet customers in the following markets will not have to change their dial-in phone numbers: Appleton, Fox Cities, Oshkosh, Neenah, New London, Green Bay, DePere, Milwaukee, or south eastern Wisconsin.
The customers calling the following areas will have a phone number change: Brillion, Iola, Scandinavia, Weyauwega, and Waupaca. - Can I use the same number for support?
Yes, Athenet's support numbers 920-954-9799 and the Toll Free Number 888-919-8700 will still be working and you will reach the same quality tech support staff that you always have. - Will NTD/Athenet have an Appleton location?
No, Athenet's current Appleton facility will no longer have walk-in access or a customer front. All former Athenet employees will be working out of the NTD offices in Oshkosh. - Where can I pay my Bill?
You are welcome to come to our office in Oshkosh to pay, or you can elect to pay your bill electronically via credit card or ACH (automatic check). NTD is located at 2129 Jackson Street in Oshkosh. - Where can I pickup my DSL kit?
DSL-kit pick-ups are currently available at our Oshkosh office. - Will NTD/Athenet continue to offer computer repair service?
Starting 9/25, Athenet will no longer be accepting computers for repair until after the transition. NTD/Athenet will be looking at our future options for this service offering. We feel that this is an important service for our customers and we will work hard to ensure that our service meets or exceeds your expectations.
